This is a look into my thoughts and views.Michellehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16768475393782301589noreply@blogger.comBlogger2125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3749466621669797052.post-75314086807425551782012-03-25T00:49:00.001-07:002012-03-25T00:53:57.860-07:00The Family in Peril in the 21st Century
We live in tough times. I see families and people hurting, lost and feeling hopeless. I talk to some of them and my heart breaks for each and every one of them. Their hopes and dreams have been stolen from them. They have lost their jobs, their homes, their families, everything.

I see our politicians, our corporations, and our economic system completely failing. Politicians and government has forgotten what its like to be human, to feel, to hurt, to struggle. They keep their money stashed away in foreign lands so they don't have pay their "fair" share. Corporations have forgotten about Americans because of the almighty dollar. Banks and financial institutions and insurance conglomerants are in it for wealth and success. We live for capitalism. That's great as long as you have no soul.

Where do we go from here? What's left? Many have turned from God because our so called evangelical politicians go against everything God and Christ taught. Mark 12:31 says, "And the second is like, namely this, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is none other commandment greater than these."

Let me ask you this question. In the end, when this life is done, no matter your belief, religion or thought, what will you take to the grave with you? All the work and toil and pain you endure or cause, what will it bring you in the end? If you are wealthy, when you die, other than leaving money for your children, what legacy will you leave? What mark will you make on mankind? When you stand before your maker, no matter who you think that is, what will you say? Will you be known for loving ALL mankind or will you be remembered for being a bigot or selfish or deceitful? What will you leave as your legacy?

Yes, I believe in God and Jesus Christ is my savior. I must say that I think our churches and Christians have lost their way. Not all but many. I have personal witness to Christians who go to church, pay their tithes, support the missionary works of the church, teach Sunday school and yes, preach from the pulpit who leave the walls of the church and forget who they have given their lives to. They have forgotten the true calling of Christ, to love one another, no matter his or her color, race, orientation, or socioeconomic standing in society. I feel in the very depths of my being that God crys when his people leave him in the pew.

I ask that everyone who reads this, Christian or not to ask yourself "What can I do for someone today to make their life easier." Who can you help today? What if you someday walk a mile in their shoes? Will someone help you or will they scowl or hate or forget about you? Remember, we are ALL in this together. Its not about the 1% or the 99%, its about 100%. Who will you leave behind today? Remember, that one may be you someday. Nothing lasts forever.

Hugs to all who read this.
Michellehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16768475393782301589noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3749466621669797052.post-64705838204045095522009-02-28T18:28:00.000-08:002012-10-05T20:52:16.675-07:00The State of the Economy and Stupid PoliticiansEvery day I hear more and more about people losing their jobs, their homes, and their livelihood. It's sad and maddening. I'm one of those people so I can freely speak. I have sent out over 50 resumes, with two responses and no job yet. I listen to the news hear politicians say things like " The president needs to slow down on his agendas because the American people can't keep up." I must ask, does this man think Americans are illiterate? Does he think we have below average IQ's? It was one of the most insulting statements I have heard in awhile now. I mean, I'm used to having my intelligence insulted, I have three teenagers who are much more educated and worldly then I am (snicker), but this man was a complete buffoon. It's people like him that have helped get the United States in the shape we're in now! Come on American's, let's stand up to idiots such as this and show them what we're made of!

Good Luck to all who are looking for work. We're going to need it.Michellehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16768475393782301589noreply@blogger.com0
